| our assignment on photographing pleasure or what gives pleasure is due this Thursday. we can present two or three smaller bodies of work or thoughts on this theme if we like. i will present a series of seven digital prints on the newspaper theme and will post them here later in the week. i'll also present a few black and white wet darkroom prints that i hope will lead into the final two assignments. the young woman in this image is Sky - she's one of a few people who answered an ad i posted for models. i've been practicing natural light portraits and some directed photography with the models and i've been amazed at everyone's willingness to work with me and try out the things i ask. it's been so much fun. in this one Sky is gliding/dancing around on the frozen river. |
